Check the AC output of the stator.
Replace any burned or corroded connectors on stator and regulator/rectifier
Check and repair any melted wiring.
Use hi-temp dielectric grease on all connectors.

more cooling fins for VFR800 regulator /...
The part arrived as scheduled. It installed easily one I went out and purchased the longer bolts that are required as the part is about 6mm thicker than the stock version. Also the wires were JUST long enough to connect to the harness. Five mm more would reduce stress on the connection. I do like that there are more and bigger cooling fins on the rectifier...hopefully this means a longer service life. It fits my VFR 800 just fine and so far so good but I've not done much riding sine the installation. THANKS Mad Hornets.
