Subaru TR580 transmission valve body was damaged.
Ordered a new transmission valve body for a 2016 forester. Well packaged a and timely delivery. When I unpacked it I noticed damage to the bottom of the valve body where it mates to the transmission. It looked like it had been dropped and there was some deformation to the aluminum. The damage was not all the way through the mating surface but was raised in a few spots. Used a large bench stone to hone the rough edges off the bottom to make a smooth flat surface. It should work OK after this but if it does not you will be hearing from me again.
