A Welcome...
My Explorer had become victim to Ford's garbage Sync 3.4 update which destroyed my APIM. Mad Hornets had what I needed for a competitive price. I had to contact them after I had ordered the new device when I realized I had ordered what appeared to be a Gen 4 version and I needed Gen 3 for my 2018 Explorer. They promptly got back to me and had contacted the company they contract with to do the programming and they had said that making it a Gen 3 was no problem (the APIMs are essentially identical). I gave this 4 stars because the whole process took nearly 3 weeks, but I installed it the day I received it and it is great to have my phone recognized every time I get in the vehicle, to not have to do a reboot all the time when the bad one would freeze, and to have the system actually shut down right away upon opening one of the front doors.
