The Sloppy Stage 2 Camshaft is a cam with a fairly aggressive profile. It will have a nice Lopey Idle and make tons of power all while keeping costs low. This cam is a great choice for those daily drivers that like a nice Lopey/Choppy idle. Great for Cars, Trucks, SUV's, Street Rods, and LS Swaps. There is no hiding this cam as will will have a muscle car sounds to it. Everyone will take note of this street warrior. Automatic's will perform best with a 2,600-2,800 Stall Converter.

Counterfeit parts. Bait and switch marketing.
I was extremely disappointed with this company‘s marketing tactics. I ordered the parts on 12/12/24, and they arrived very quickly on 12/17/24. However, when I open the box, I found not a single branded part. Everything looked like it came straight from China and was a very poor quality compared to stuff that is made in the USA. I called the actual manufacturer of the Elgin sloppy mechanics stage two camshaft, and their representative told me that what Mad Hornets sold me is a cheap copy of their original. They identified three different unique characteristics of the original Elgin Sloppy Mechanics Stage 2 Cam (heat treat discoloration, part number stamping, and an unmachined finish) and the cam Mad Hornets sent me had none of these. There is no way that I would put a camshaft in my performance LS engine that had not gone through a heat treating process. After opening the box and inspecting the parts, I immediately tried calling Mad Hornets and nobody answered, just an answering machine. I tried twice more, and left a message. I also sent an email, and no response. Finally, a few days later, I received a text from Mad Hornets asking me about my concerns. As soon as their representative learned that I did not want to keep their counterfeit parts they ghosted me. I have since contacted my credit card company’s fraud division and have canceled the transaction. Since texting seems to be the only way they will communicate I sent a message stating my intent to send the Mad Hornets parts back to them if they will send me a prepaid shipping label. It has been well over a week and they have not yet responded.
