4.Easy to fix, replace them in a few minutes, anywhere , with one 14mm spanner or socket to remove, plus a 17mm spanner to insert the new 5th gear-spring bolt!
5.If you don't want to do this yourself, any garage will be able to, quickly and cheaply with the help of the instructions (and the new springs).
6.Can also stop 'blocking' when changing between all gears, as weak old springs don't 'reset' the internal shafts correctly to let you get into the next set of gears.
7.A low oil level can also cause gearbox problems, as can maladjusted gear-change cables or a faulty clutch system. These need checking before the new springs can be sure to offer improvement.
