Incorrect carb...
I chose the kit from their web site so ultimately it was my fault that it was wrong. It said it was for a Vstar Custom Classic, which is confusing since it is either one or the other. Mine is a custom. Upon arrival, it looked like the correct parts in the plastic bag. I began putting it back together and was partially done before discovering that the needle & seats, the jets and the slide needles were incorrect. Too late to send it back so I cleaned the old parts really well and reassembled with new gaskets and o-rings. Runs like brand new! I wish there was a better way to identify the correct kit for old guys like me with poor eyesight.
