500=1000M is 1/2 Mile, not...
They names of these pointers are very deceiving, as it states the range of only 500-1000 meters, which is either a 1/4 mile to a 1/2 mile.. That range could be had for 8$.. They are good quality , just 499.5 miles off

Thus far the laser pointer is everything as advertised and more. As far as the charger is concerned, I haven't had a reason to use it yet. I bought the pointer mainly for pointing purposes in the daylight outside. I have since come to the realization, that should I deem it necessary, the pointer could be used as a self defense weapon or a deterrent. The pointer could be applied as a means to escape a given situation by shining it into a would be attackers eyes just long enough to temporarily blind them, so one could escape. It is that powerful. For those who are against violence or afraid of firearms, this could be the alternative they've been seeking.
